Matthew Fridg is an Emmy® nominated filmmaker. He has produced work for NFL, Discovery Channel, Fox, GNC, Velocity Network, Freethink Media, Martin Guitar and more. His passion is to tell compelling stories with a cinematic approach.
After graduating college in 2006, Matthew worked as a set lighting technician for feature films and major commercials in the Pittsburgh, PA area as well as serving as Director of Worship Arts for a multi-campus church in the city. In 2008 he became a full-time director for a video production company in Pittsburgh. He later took over as the head of production and guided every project from idea to delivery. In 2013, Matthew took a break from full-time filmmaking to serve as Associate Pastor and Media Director at his church and earned his MA in Pastoral Counseling from Liberty University. In 2015, Matthew jumped back into full-time filmmaking as a writer and director for Vinegar Hill Pictureworks.
Having served as an Associate Pastor and Worship Leader for over 10 years, Matthew understands the rigors of ministry from many levels. He created ChurchVideoCoach.com as a resource to encourage and empower church filmmakers to use video to effectively communicate the Gospel in new and creative ways.
Matthew currently lives in the countryside just outside of Pittsburgh and in his spare time loves writing scripts, doing projects around the house and hanging with his wife and four kids.
